Announcing Margo's Retirement

After a rewarding 43 years of practice, Margo Jones, FAIA will be retiring beginning January 3, 2022.

Margo’s impact on Western Massachusetts cannot be overstated. After founding her own practice in Greenfield in 1984, she became a leader in K12 school design and an early advocate for sustainability and human-centered design. As a leader on the Board of Directors of NCARB, WMAIA, and the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Architects, Margo consistently fought for the diversification of the profession, opening doors for many of us who followed in her footsteps.

Architecture is a team endeavor. Margo leaves JWA in good hands under the leadership of Kristian Whitsett, AIA and Dorrie Brooks, AIA who will continue to build a culture of transparency, teamwork and good design.

We remain grateful for the trust and confidence you place in us and look forward to engaging with you in the next chapter of our history together.
