Wendell Free Library

The Wendell Free Library is an active community center with programs and offerings for all segments of this small town's population. The new library facility provides a bright, energy conserving, attractive new home. Taking cues from the Greek Revival schoolhouse which it incorporates, the new 4,200 square foot building harmonizes with the Wendell village setting. On the interior, the spaces are open and flow between each other, making supervision easy for staff, and functions clear to the visitor. Extensive use of natural wood materials, clean lines, and designed daylighting create a cheery, contemporary facility for the next century of Wendell library users.
