Dorrie Brooks, AIA
Principal
Dorrie co-manages the firm with Kristian Whitsett, AIA.
A graduate of Brown University’s program in Modern Culture and Media in 1989, Dorrie produced social issue documentaries for 20 years before changing careers. In 2008 she went back to school to earn her Masters in Architecture. Joining Margo Jones Architects in 2011, she quickly found her place as a skilled project leader and communicator. Since becoming Principal, Dorrie has successfully expanded the firm’s reach into multifamily housing while deepening its commitment to civic engagement and educational facilities planning.
Dorrie currently serves on the Board of Directors of AIA Massachusetts where she advocates on behalf of Western Massachusetts and its architects. In her infrequent spare time, she kayaks, rows and bikes to avoid her email. If you can’t find her in Florence, she is probably out roaming the Adirondacks.
