JWA GIVES 2022: Ski United

JWA makes it a priority to give in meaningful ways. When principals Kristian Whitsett and Dorrie Brooks heard of “Ski United 2022” they jumped at it. All proceeds from Ski United directly benefit the United Way of the Franklin & Hampshire Region. United way makes a huge difference to the over 30% of our neighbors living in poverty or low income, which is growing due to the pandemic. “We thought it looked like a fun way to give and support our staff in living balanced, healthy lives— it’s all connected.” Some of our staff chose to shred the gnar at the 12th annual “Ski United” event at Berkshire East in Charlemont, while the rest of us clomped through the woods on snowshoes at Stump Sprouts in Hawley. It was a great day and a great way to give back.
