Bement Master Plan

The Dormitory Master Plan for the Bement School documented the location, size, and condition of the student residential facilities on campus, and their shortcomings. The Design Team worked closely with a planning committee made up of head staff, trustees, and administrators to establish a plan to address the school’s immediate and long-term residential needs. Many potential options for serving the school’s ideal residential scale were explored, with an ultimate solution arrived at collectively. The graphic, iterative process established a clear plan Bement could carry out over over a ten year period without distracting from the primary and important work of teaching.
