The Adams Cheshire Regional School District consolidated the middle school and high school through a comprehensive $25 million renovation/addition of its existing 1971 high school. The project achieves a fully updated, secure, energy-efficient school with state-of-the-art teaching environments for grades 7 - 12. Sustainability elements include re-use of existing architectural components, rainwater harvesting, a 500 kwh solar array, improved thermal performance and site surface improvements. Hoosac Valley High and Middle School achieved LEED Gold certification and garnered the top honor at the Western Massachusetts, AIA honor award ceremony, 2012.
